I agree that it is a bad idea for replies. I actually don't care how it is named on the AP level. I'm speaking here as a Mastodon/Fediverse user.

So I'm on :twitter: now for a while and the only thing I miss big time on Mastodon are the quoted tweets (quoted toots). I know the reason for it, but I was wondering if it's not an idea to implement it and have an opt-out for people who don't want their toots quoted.
