@garbados obviously it's a problem that's important and very worth trying to solve...

just a hard one for my brain to wrap around. "just back it with crypto" hurts my very soul but so does anything that involves regulated currency, and/or running payments through the usual players under the hood

@garbados like i think this is largely why i never could muster up to actually _doing_ anything before when we talked about this (aside from just having too much going on and letting myself get dragged off in my own problems)

trying to take on how payments go from one person to another is a Hard Problem and it just always felt like the answers were so theoretical that there's like this internal cringe reaction whenever i think about it lol

what if p2p steam fed cuts of sale back into user wallets, sort of like how Stellar collects transaction fees and then redistributes them. global reward basically for more people buying stuff, to incentivize more people to buy stuff

but then what's the incentive for software publishers to be involved in the store (vs build their own and keep full cut, and try to lock users in)

feels like smt that could work for indie publishing
