I saw Barbie (2023) and most of what I could say about the message of the movie has already been said by other people with better flair, I'll just note a couple of things:

1. I expected the Mattel product placement, but I didn't expect the Chevrolet product placement. It isn't particularly subtle either.
2. It is a feminist movie, but they still had to add a #NotAllKen caveat in the character of Allan. They casted Michael Cera for him so it somewhat softens the blow, but I believe the movie could have gone even harder.

Large Language Models are a strong contender as a trigger for the Butlerian Jihad.

• And were sold in New York City as "Local" meat.

Update: I've realized I was running NextCloud 19 (!) which means I will have to go through 7-8 different manual upgrades until I reach a PHP 8.2 compatible version.

I've been able to import the Sury PHP repository by changing the Devuan's daedalus release name by the Debian's bookworm release name thanks to @:debian: 𝚜𝚎𝚕𝚎𝚊 :fedora: 's suggestion, and so I won't have to build all the PHP versions I'll need on this painstaking upgrade path.

The familiar coffee cup icon appeared in my Windows task bar. I clicked it, and there it was again, the perennial off-white #Java installer wizard that was going to lead me through the installation of yet another new version of the popular runtime framework.

The wizard started by prompting me about removing out-of-date Java versions from my computer, which I obliged. It could be a security risk, the wizard said. And then surely it would install the new version? But no, the wizard just completed after having confirmed there was no remaining out-of-date version of Java installed on my system.

Man, these times are weird.
