    It's also hard to know what you don't know, I learned in this Twitter thread that sexual education in the US is extremely inconsistent when it is even taught, with some examples of segregated gender sexual education (!). It's hard to fathom for my French self who has had full class sex ed so I didn't have to look into it later.

    Whatever the reason, the conclusion still stands, in puritan US men shouldn't be passing laws about women's bodies.

    I thought I could beat the Starcraft: Brood War campaign 20 years later after I first played the game, but the very last Zerg mission "Omega" is proving too difficult for me. It seems there's no strategy to it, you just have to train Hydralisk faster than they die. Meh.

    It's hard, since they are some people who get a kick out of replying to these posts who you will not convince to ignore provoking posts. It's the trickle-down attention economy.

    And then you have the news media industry that has been, directly or indirectly, turned into pure entertainment outlets. They also directly benefit from outrageous statements from politicians and commentators.

    There is no fix for all of this, the only winning move is not to publicly engage.

    If you haven't read the books it absolutely doesn't matter to you as you wouldn't know the reference. This is also why I don't suggest you try to read them as your expectations based on the TV show would likely be heavily disappointed.

    I left Netflix because of a diversity and inclusion issue, but I'm kind of glad I did given where the industry is going. I find myself renting digital copies more often than not, which I believe has a better chance of escaping the accountant's death touch given the more direct views -> revenue causality.
