    I have the newer MacBook Pro with the MagSafe 2 charging port. After a freak order mistake where I received two chargers but no cable, I ran out of battery. As a last resort, a coworker offered their USB-C charging port, and it worked! Mind-boggled there are 3 + 1 charging ports.

    When I was young, I used to lament that I wasn't able to do anything special or impressive. And then I learned that everything special or impressive that I was seeing was taking a lot of practice to achieve and from then on I was like "Nah, I'm good".

    I understand the concept, but so far in my life I haven't found a use for which the cost/benefit analysis was in favor of fine-tuning. Maybe it's because I purposefully avoid placing myself in a position where it would be beneficial, I don't know.

    This thought was sparked by an author offering to “fine-tune your writing style”.

    At this point I would even question the convenience. Between the packages that cannot be securely delivered because Amazon delivery people don't have access to USPS mailboxes, the fake reviews to inflate scores, the odd unavailability (that you can't even know about except if you're looking for the removed thing), the low quality products that are monopolizing the "best seller" lists, this is a minefield of a marketplace.

    They are now telling me they are closing my author account. The whole experience with them has been traumatic.

    If you want to read my work, it's available from other vendors, and I plan to go back to hand-selling my smaller stuff. I was happier that way, honestly.

    All of their actions require painstaking trace back to pinpoint the legal person responsible for it. They hide behind a few layers of anonymity to make the job of any investigative body hell, especially since there’s never any direct contact between them and their victims. Pushing someone to suicide is devilishly genius given the plausible deniability.

    CloudFlare has been put on the spot given the prominence of their last target, and they’ve already issued a milquetoast public statement to defend keeping doing business with Kiwi Farms when they’ve dropped other websites in the past.

    #WellThisFuckingSucks I’ve known Kiwi Farms for a long time, when their targets were lower profile. High profile enough to be a target, but not enough to get back to the website. This new campaign (among many other untold ones) shows how emboldened they are.
