A lot of HGV drivers honk in support (also for environmental protests). The stereotypes about those workers are a right wing fantasy. We can all be comrades.

Ok, so radicals are right in most or all of their critiques of voting. But! Imagine the US is a fossil-fuel car. We really need to replace it with a train running on sustainable energy. Voting for a new driver won't do any of that.
However! That car is currently speeding down a steep hill towards a bunch of school kids who are all holding puppies and kittens while meeting Tony the Tiger. The driver is hitting the gas.
Changing the driver actually is a really good thing to do right now.

Because of gerrymandering in, like, every state after the 2010 census, in order for democrats to control a majority, they have to get kind of a lot more than 50% of the vote. Winning the popular vote is not winning the election.
That said, winning the election is still an achievable goal. Have you registered? Have you got your ballot? Have you filled it out (if applicable)?
Have you asked your friends and comrades if they're on it?
We win when turnout is higher. Turn out!

@Gargron In his book, _On Bullshit_, Frankfurt talks about something called 'bull sessions', where people try out new ideas and argue things in front of friends and colleagues as a way of auditioning ideas - absent commitment.

I'd kind of thought that labelling something a 'hot take' was a way or partially disclaiming the idea while trying it on, like a bull session.

For me, this is part of working out and clarifying my thoughts.

Others may approach this differently, of course.
