@sean What you and @bob are seeing arrived with the big bang expansion of “no Nazis” Mastodon. The left is as oppressive as the right, if you’re not in near-complete agreement with their particular take on an issue, and politics of any kind is toxic in anything except the smallest doses.

@dwaltiz I need to read it, but as a member an ethnic minority, I find these things are generally not written in a way that feels safe for me. They certainly don’t protect me from oppression.

US has ASL (American Sign Language) and SEE (Signed Exact English). ASL is a language with its own peculiarities, not derived from English. SEE is English, expressed with signs.
