I'm hoping I can find some easy solutions that work well, and then publish them on the web so that others that are interested might make use of them.

Often seems like an uphill battle, but I think that libraries could really start to make a difference. :)

Next project for switching the #library to Linux. Since our new #opensource ILS (Koha) is web based we can use a customized snap of Firefox to access it. This will allow staff to have a browser just for the ILS.

In order to make checkouts efficient we've omitted the browser asking which printer to use when checkout slips are printed. But it makes it tough when we need to print something else out.

Having Koha partitioned in an snap should solve stuff like this.

@Cobalt Ours had a rough year too. Luckily my wife has been planting a native flower garden in front of my library and she's started a bunch of extra rose milkweed we can use if we really need to. :)

Having mostly exhausted our supply of rose milkweed, I moved our two big boys on the the common milkweed last night. Was a little worried that they would like it as much. Coming out the other side of ILS transition shock. Can't wait to be done with #MLIS in December, so I can think about stuff.
