    I prefer to build software using slower hardware. It keeps my perspective on worst-case performance scenarios. If it runs fast on my machine, everyone else will be at that level or better upon release.

    If you notice your Alpine Docker containers giving you a "gpg: keyserver receive failed: Address not available" error and you've only got IPv4, check to make sure your address is set to ipv4.pool.sks-keyservers.net rather than the usual ha.pool.sks-keyservers.net. This one bit me tonight!

      I am trying to generate a docker image to node 6.10 with alpine, but I get this error: gpg: keyserver receive failed: Address not available Does anyone knows how to solve it?

    Set up two rotary encoders last night using an Arduino Trinket Pro 5V. Trickiest part was figuring out how to access the pins since some are on different banks.

    #define TRINKET_PINB PINB // pins 8-13.
    #define TRINKET_PIND PIND // pins 0-7.

    "It’ll probably wind up on all the crazy Linux flavors, although
    some of those get really debatable. The intersection of people
    that run Quake on Linix, SPARC, and Light [?] is probably a dozen people.
    But if it’s just a matter of compiling, we’ll do it anyways." -John Carmack

    I wish more developers had this attitude.

    Successfully hooked up the Arduino Trinket to my volume control. What I actually want, though, is left arrow, right arrow control but it doesn't seem to want to work... https://kwat.chat/attachment/1477

    Set up two rotary encoders on my breadboard this week. Hoping to be able to play pong using actual physical knobs, just like the old days :) Also included is an Arduino Trinket, which is a really neat piece of hardware (dirt cheap, too). #hackermaker #waterloo https://kwat.chat/attachment/1463
