Started playing Hero-U. I grew up with Quest for Glory and it had a profound impact on me as a teen. Hero-U is a breath of fresh air.

Had a spammer create a super policital account on KW Hackers and spam a ton of URLs to communist sites and everything else. KW Hackers isn't for heavy politics, it's for sharing cool shit you built or interesting things you've found. There are thousands of other GNU Social and Mastodon sites you can join that are directed toward politics to post that stuff, don't need to do it here.

I have auto-subscribe turned on, so when someone (or a bot) follows me on the fediverse, I automatically follow back. This is actually really handy for reducing spam on my GNU Social instance.

Emulating old computers stops when the software runs, but it would be so much better to include the sounds the old computer used to make, emulation of the period monitor, and sound of the keyboard as well. Why is this emotional aspect of computer emulation not taken more seriously?

@janellecshane Usually I get this only when I have a throat infection. I use Nim Jeom to alleviate it.

While playing NMS yesterday, I was circled by a dog-looking animal. I took a pot shot at it to scare it off, then I noticed it was with a cub. The cub attacked me while what I determined was the mother watched. I couldn't kill the cub or the mother since it's just nature, so I acted hurt while I let the cub attack me a bit then fled. As I fled, I found the father watching from a distance, making sure the environment was safe. I think this is the most natural AI I've ever experienced in a videogame.
