Visionary art is a lot of ways true surrealism, or what surrealism was supposed to be, I feel. On a basic conceptual level, it is fantastical realism; which is to say, the point of it is to use abstract or dreamlike or surreal or spiritual themes to express very human and emotional truths and experiences. To make a complicated world or event that represents some larger feeling, or desire, way of thinking, etc. My one problem is some people lean too hard on the use/veneration of drugs.
I'm so glad I stumbled into it, and I'm glad it could provide me with this wonderful profile pic. And now I own this extremely short, retro-offensive non-offensive clown game. And I can't even run it because it targets Windows 95 and I can't find a working W95 install iso to save my life, let alone figure out how to set it up right on Virtual Box. But that doesn't matter, really. The feel of owning this undeservedly panned game, to hold it in my hands. It feels nice. The artwork speaks to me
Apparently, Of Light and Darkness: The Prophecy was a game that was a complete flop for multiple reasons. Despite having works of the visionary artist Gil Burvel, and super interesting, pretty, surreal, visionary art styled environments and storytelling... Well. It pissed off Christian moms for its warped interpretation of religious topics, and for the artistic nudity. On top of that, it was extremely repetitive and short, so it's basically just pretty & weird art: the game. They say it killed Interplay...
my gfs computer keeps making ping sounds, apparently she is engaged in some kind of apple hell discourse..... so imma just leave you with these parting words: pink lady apples best apples
