The character building in Demon is anime as fuck btw. You can take up the power to instantly teleport around at the cost of developing like, glowing veins across your body. You can develop extra lumbs and wings. You can travel across dimensions and keep a save haven in the void. It's like tabletop SMT

And god is a collective consciousness of machines. Angels are biomechanical creatures built to fill certain roles, and demons are fallen angels who act of their own volition and seek some form of restorative action. Some wish to build hell, some wish to change the god-machine, some wanna stick around in the mortal world. It's really fun.

If you like Devilman, the cure to not liking it is reading Devilman Lady, which is horrible and offensive. You'll just stop liking the author and the franchise. It's like a Lovecraft situation. What it inspired is far better than what it is. Just get into Demon: the Descent. You'll be better off imo

@alex thats a very very meh one and drastically different from older games. if you ever can, id give the GBA ones a try

See tho Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Story is so cool. It's based on this book where a high school student uses computers to summon demons and that causes an outbreak of demons on society, right? It's like a cyberpunk Devilman but with less sexism and less explicit violence.
