!fedibikes group !Radverkehr !mastobikes_de group Moin!

"regularly" is fetching really often, means every few minutes. That's why I recommend to set 'adjust_poll_frequency' => true,
in yourlocal.config.php
and also to set'min_poll_interval' => 5,
to a minimal poll interval that you feel safe about (like the 5 minutes in the example) -

Also Nitter also relies on a working API. And an RSS simply looks ugly in comparison to an imported post. -

Well, my missing motivation is not based on politics. Firstly: AFAIK the v2 API currently is missing some endpoints that we require to make the API work for us. Secondly: I've got the feeling as if Twitter will close their API access more and more, making sure that everyone has to use their clients. And I don't want to spend many hours into it, when in the end no one can use it. -

I will not shut it down. But when Twitter decides to shut down their 1.x API and moves to 2.x, then I don't know if I will apply the changes. -

As you might have heard, Twitter now has changed their rules also officially. You mustn't create an app that does the same as their own app. This possibly could mean that we are safe. But still I don't really have got motivation to improve something at this bridge anymore. -

Importing does work here. Would be interesting to know if there are any log entries. -

BTW: We don't need FediFinder on Friendica. In the Twitter adoon settings you can activate a similar functionality that automatically follows the fediverse accounts of your Twitter contacts who put their fediverse address in their profiles. -

!Friendica Admins As you might have heard, there are issues with the Twitter API. Several favourite clients stopped working, while others (still) do. By now there hadn't been any word if there is some massive Problem or if this was some deliberate action.
Whatever is causing these issues, at least my connection still works. How about yours? Is the Twitter connector on your systems still running? -

There is already a working block mechanism that prevents you from seeing content from users that you blocked. -

At least it is a unified experience. -

In most systems, "ignoring" acts just like "blocking" but is limited to inbound traffic, while "blocking" also affect outbound traffic. -

These filters are surely a good idea as well, but my question currently is just about the "ignoring". The other stuff should be part of another issue. -

For the collapsed stuff we do have the mostly unused collapsed
field in the user contacts. I wouldn't want to mix it with theignore
. -

!Friendica Support with the arrival of a lot of new users, the need for proper blocking/hiding/ignoring increased. Currently this doesn't really work like expected, I guess.
What isn't possibly anyway is to prevent the other side from reading your posts when they are public.
Improving the blocking is an issue for another day. Now I would like to know your opinion about ignoring. Currently the ignoring works in a (I guess) more unexpected way. It prevents the user from seeing top level posts by that user. But comments will still be available. The thought behind this was: "That person is really spammy with their cat videos, but in fact I like their comments on other posts"
I guess that this idea is an edge case. And in fact we can unfollow such users and they still can comment on our own posts, so there is no need ignoring them.
So what is your thought? -
