Also srsly, just work together…

@DashEquals that totally touches the empahy point I've described.
1. Artificially bringing yourself into the position you try to feel empathetic for won't work. (we discussed this in ♿ ex)
2. Yes, you can never feel it exactly the same way as a person actually affected.
3. But you can still be empathetic, listen to people affected, and come up with solutions/ideas.
Also: Mind your privilege. Acknowledge, the 2nd point e.g.
@DashEquals empathy = you can understand the perspective of other people, without being other people.
(Obviously, that's limited and one should never claim to be able to 100%ly to represent another's perspective, but it's still possible.)
@DashEquals empathy? Is that a thing?
Depending on which perspective exactly, there are likely also docus, you can talk to people, there are websites etc.
You like the #emoji picker of #Mastodon?
Actually, I took it and made it available as an add-on, so you can use it in the whole #Firefox :firefox:! 😃
Check it out here:
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/awesome-emoji-picker/?src=external-mastodon
Firefox 67 will be released today! It allows websites to implement a dark mode with a CSS media query.
I've made a little add-on that let's you toggle/overwrite that setting in your browser, instead of just relying on the system setting.
Check it out here:

@frank @papabjoern und es fängt mit Wahlen an.
Im Gegenteil: wenn du nicht wählen gehst, stimmst du mit allem den was kommt überein. Du hast ja keine Stimme für etwas anderes abgegeben.
Und gewählt wurden nun mal Voss und co. Wenn du das nicht willst, musst du das ändern.
@0x11de784a hmm, ff for android is quite fine in my case. Just note: there are many other ff browsers for android and mozilla is working on #fennix the next big change (that should replace ff for android in the future)
@0x11de784a don't use Chrome (on Android)
@KasperNymand do we really need video calls for that? Is audio really not sufficient?
Thinking especially if you have bad net and then you need to load some time for the stream, I guess this would be realy bad…
@thunfisch @alphathiel hätte jetzt auch gedacht, kann man bei janitor9 sehen.
Alternativ soll doch Visual Studio Code so eine Version bekommen.
Oder für GitHub das: https://www.gitpod.io/
@nuron …*wenn* das mit Tickets klar geht… 😄
@Gargron /cc @sebastian ?
@Gargron @gms I like the idea of displaying it, however.
What about cllecting that criteria ina JSON and then you ust filter out the ones, you like? This way, you can still change the criteria/run tests or so.
To finish this thread, just another GIF showing how easy it is too use and how it works in general.
As you'd expect it, it also sends no data anywhere and works offline. But this is just a side-note.
Just open it and select any emoji. Search is automatically focused and you can even use the keyboard to choose the emojis.
On selection it either (optionally) inserts it into the current page, or copies it to the clipboard!
You can get it here: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/awesome-emoji-picker/?src=external-mastodon
And here is the first stable release of my #emoji picker for your browser.
BTW, #Mastodon users: It's based on the same emoji picker you know and use every day here! 😃
But now, you can use it anywhere directly from your browser, and it will remember your recently used emojis etc.
Also, adjust the style of the emojis to anyone you want. Including Apple, Google, Twitter and EmojiOne emojis.

First, Offline QR Code Generator – the add-on that let's you generate your QR codes in your browser, but offline.
It is now translated into Chinese and French!
And we've fixed some bugs on the way.
https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/offline-qr-code-generator/?src=external-mastodon
Big release day today! Two browser extension releases at once.
Here we go:
* v1.6 of the Offline #QrCode Generator add-on!
* and v1.0 of the Awesome Emoji Picker! It's stable now! 🎉
Both feature a much nicer settings page that aligns into Firefox' interface way better.
