Par contre, j'étais un peu inquiet avec ce choix, comme je n'ai pas voulu perdre la taxe carbone. Mais j'ai appris vendredi que le Bloc québécois a donné son soutien à cette politique, donc dans le contexte d'un gouvernement minoritaire (comme prévu par les sondages), l'abolition de ce prix sur l'émission du carbone est peu probable.

@eleanorkonik In principle this is a function of the curvature of the planet you're on the height of the observer, and the height of the mountains.

I think you can see the Rockies from Calgary, but when I look at Google Maps, I don't even see them from the highways south of Cochrane.

Well, I don't know if the new #Brexit deal is better than PM May's deal in any sense; and I doubt that it will pass the present House of Commons. But at least we now know that #BorisJohnson was negotiating in good faith.

I wasn't sure of that myself.

@ink_slinger Restaurant de la Main was on one of those Food Channel shows, You Gotta Eat Here, maybe.

If you have a good budget, Moishe's Steakhouse is a classic destination. Also Romado's Portuguese Chicken on Rachel, just walking by you can smell how good it is.

@ink_slinger I recommend going to Restaurant de la Main, just across the street. About as good as Schwartz's, but no lines.
