Okay so I've been trying proplus to wake up in the morning.

Took half a tablet when I woke up. I've had a shower, done yoga, and got ready. Normally I'd've skipped yoga and still be wet from the shower.

Literally life hacking.

And https://queer.cloud is fixed! Thankfully.

Turns out I'd messed up by putting the cert.pem in the ssl_certificate part of nginx rather than the chain.

@ruth digital ocean for the server, followed the guide on mastodon github, and used godaddy for registering the domain :)

It was pretty simple, digital ocean is genuinely a really friendly platform to use

Which for a day one issue is like honestly not the worst I expected.

I'll recheck the cert chain when I'm home and then finally get to poke at the postGres, which is where I actually feel at home. Lowkey wondering if I could get it connected to a presto cluster for easier processing..

After making a relatively confident "Yeah this works" post, turns out I messed up the SSL because it's refusing to remote follow :')

@bea It's kinda way to early to say if I'll manage to make enough headway on it. So, hopefully!

@bea Yup! Right now I"m just happy it exists, but main plan is to use it to develop some consent-friendly analytics/spam detection for instances.

SO this morning I was wondering how hard it is to setup a mastodon. And two hours later:

It's actually relatively simple! I was super relieved, but I think I have one working now. It's mostly for my own experience in playing with Ruby, but it is open.

I just want a relationship where someone scratches my head until I fall asleep.

@tiredjules it's in Germany, otherwise I would be totally down for it :(
