βEverybody wants to be the hero of their own story, and in their own account of the state of the world, they are.
None of the questions surrounding vulnerability disclosure, vulnerability discovery, and the trade-offs involved in it are easy. People that claim there is an easy and obvious path to go about security vulnerability disclosure have either not thought about it very hard, or have sufficiently strong incentives to self-delude that there is one true way.β

fedichive.tk are 1) archiving all Mastodon content, 2) offering search as a service 3) are refusing to remove content at the request of that content's author, and 4) are threatening retaliatory actions as a consequence of receiving such requests.
I'm requesting the instance be blocked and defederated by mastodon.cloud, and that blocking and defederation be requested of all other Mastodon instances through which content archives might be leaked incidentally.

What was true of Soviet central planners is true of Big Tech today: namely, the assumption that society can be improved through pure "rationality": "Big Techβs Harvest of Sorrow?"

I have this Mastodon userlist which I name "Very Low Volume". On it I include people who posts to Mastodon once a day at most. Sometimes it catches someone who posts only once a month.
It brings up gems and it is a gesture, my personal gesture I'd dare say, against the loudness war.

6 out of 10 doctors still doing that 8 years after the guidelines recommended they stop - because it is not more effective than ibuprofen anyway

@michel_slm Nice. Also have you watched Dagogo Altraide's/ColdFusionTV's YouTube video essay on the Sackler family? Also recommended.
> Automattic CEO Matt Mullenweg lays out his vision for Tumblr. Integration with the open WordPress tech platform. Building on Tumblr's engagement and social strength. In short, restoring the open social web and maybe even the blogosphere.
wordpress just bought tumblr and already mentioned plans to open source it! they will move the backend of tumblr.com onto wordpress.
RT @tchambers@twitter.com
@photomatt@twitter.com @anildash@twitter.com #Indieweb and federated #activitypub #activitysub content syndication would be top of list! Domain name based identity systems that lets users own their own identity separate from any one platform would be a close third.
The 'Net slightly murmuring over Automattic buying Tumblr... and PhotoMatt's plans to more-or-less Open Source it... (or some parts of it...)
Just for the record I've downloaded installers for DaVinci Resolve and Lightworks. Never got around to installing either though. Nevermind learning how to edit using them softwares etc.,etc.
Someone from Chaos Computer Club DM'ed me a few days ago on Mastodon. How should I respond?
(And yes I know the Chaos Computer Club has a reputation. And no I have no way of knowing how to either verify or disprove any of such claims.)
[Ghosting doesn't seem very polite. But on the other hand I'm hardly ever here anyways so like...]
