This past week has been crazy. I hardly can keep up with the influx of traffic and I had to add 2 more servers to my shared hosting cloud and have 2 waiting for me to find time to setup and put online.
Sorry for any hiccups that may have been occurring in the platform, it should be fixed soon.

@bixmediocre well I usually just jump to the remote profile page when I want to look at someone. I just got used to it. I have no idea on how complex it would be to keep that in think or the reason behind it but it just one of those things that now I don't even think about it but understand that it can be confusing for someone new.

@bixmediocre This is a known issue in Mastodon and not your specific instance. If you open a user profile in the app interface you get a warning about that (see image)

The follows/followers count on remote instances is rarely accurate for remote instances (any instance, even in :mastodon: .social) and the avatar images can take time to update depending on load of your instance and the remote instance (this also happen in :mastodon:.social when a new account is found)

So, there was another burst of load on the federation and it brought one of the app servers to an halt.
5% of the instances were down for +/-15 minutes.
Sorry about that, I am currently testing bare metal servers to replace the app server cloud and hopefully they will handle better these load burst.

@edclayand I'm thinking about it, not sure I will have the consistency required to stick with a theme, my mind is a wondered :P
