Oops. Also causes core dump when doing anything with package.el, and also various things don't work right (like transient-mark-mode is no longer enabled).

Wow, the new portable dumper in #emacs is hot. The setup in spacemacs (devel) reduces startup time on my work machine (Windows, so it's extra slow) from like 2 minutes to 5 seconds.

Listening to Perturbator and pretending to work while my Emacs updates 232 packages.

@adasauce Yeah, I'm not crazy about the electron app, but it does seem that the system is factored into different parts, so you could write a text-based or native GUI frontend.
