On the last days of my tour, I'm seeing a lot of places I remember from my childhood.
But the Danube has changed a lot, for the better. The river which had been forced into a straight bed is now flowing freely again, meandering, and making a diverse and wonderful landscape.
Also lots of animals have returned, that had been close to extinction when I was a child.
It's good to see!

I'm in Regensburg now , at the Danube! A special river for me, because I consider it my river of origin, my parents from Vienna but I was born in a small southern German town also at the Danube.
