The mean race time is about 3 hours, episodes are 22 minutes, that works out to 8ish episodes

Actually if they did the race in real-time it would only be about an 8-episode race with, say, one or two episodes before and after for character stuff so I guess it wouldn't be THAT bad. Call it an 11-episode arc.

Yeah, the Daytona arc was actually really good but it's a 500-lap race so you have to suffer through a LOT of filler to get to the good stuff.

Like, seriously, the fact that the movement gimmick stops when you clear a screen is SO HELPFUL in terms of pacing; you don't have to be On 100% of the time, the game has small breaks built in so that you can take as long as you need before going on to the next challenge. From what I've seen of Necrodancer, it's basically just a straight shot the entire time and I don't think I have the endurance for that.

I still feel like I would bounce off of Necrodancer because of the roguelite aspects and the fact that it's JUST dungeon-crawling but the addition of the overworld and permanence of a single playthrough while still keeping certain roguelite elements makes for a really good combination

It does seem pretty easy, though; next time I play I might have to look for difficulty options or maybe just not use spears...

Cadence of Hyrule is really good

Black Cat #1 made a strong first impression. Definitely looking forward to seeing where this book goes.

Wonder Woman has been doing a great job of telling one longer story but it's still largely episodic.

I want, like, an epic told in comic form.
