Nice quote from Joanna Cherry QC MP on the outcome of the Supreme Court appeal:
"It’s very much in keeping with the Scottish constitutional tradition that neither the government, nor indeed the monarch, are above the law."
Too true.

The UK Supreme Court ruling is out. The proroguing of Parliament was ruled null and void:
""The prorogation was void and of no effect," Lady Hale says. "Parliament has not been prorogued.""

The Incredible Sulk
Ooft!
EU making it clear that Boris Johnson has been lying about having meaningful negotiations:
"...it is the UK's responsibility to come forward with legally operational solutions..."
Some online wit has said that Boris Johnson isn't the Incredible Hulk, more like the Invisible Man. 😂
I'm starting to believe there is some truth in the theory that PM Johnson is saying increasingly bizarre things to crowd-out headlines that are critical of his premiership.
Joanna Cherry QC MP is raising a new Court of Session action which, if successful, would mean the court could sign the Article 50 extension letter if Boris "dead in a ditch" Johnson refused to do so.
If this happens I'll be laughing my socks off for the rest of the year.

Daily Mail has found some proper dirt on the Scottish judges who ruled prorogation to be unlawful. It turns out one has a "passion for France." Another is a "jazz lover" who predicted Brexit would be "an onerous task." Scandalous stuff
Is the EU trolling the UK?
The EU have nominated their new Trade Commissioner, it's Phil Hogan, from *Ireland*. Mr. Hogan will be responsible for negotiating any future trade deals between the EU and the UK (assuming Brexit happens).
Regarding future negotiations he re-iterated to-day the EU stance that nothing can proceed until the UK accepts the obligations in the Withdrawal Agreement.
WTF! What did I just see? Seriously, I'm negatively flabbergasted...

Let's have your witticisms for this Macron and Merkel photo.
Due to prorogation of the Westminster parliament yesterday, by PM Boris Johnson, this court case has now been brought forward to 12 noon today.
It is possible the judge could grant an interim interdict *preventing the suspension of parliament*.
Wait for the fireworks!

I'll leave the last words to-night to an angry Hugh Grant. His response to Boris Johnson:
