    It is unfortunate and very dangerous that many government sites around the world become dependent on and destructible by the US, e.g. by depending on #aws #cloudflare etc.
    People in tech no longer grasp the simple concept of digital autonomy (or get paid not to)

    #Cloudflare Terminates Service to Sci-Hub Domain Names

    The CDN provider was compelled to take this action in response to a permanent injunction the American Chemical Society obtained late last year. While Cloudflare previously objected to a similar request, there is no sign of protest this time around.

    The site is currently still available.

    @veer66 From what I've seen, any kind of privacy settings (even turning off #JavaScript) triggers #CloudFlare's captchas. Most of the time, if they show you a captcha, it will be followed by another and another until you finally give up.

    Similar experience for #Tor users.

    Is it just me, or has #CloudFlare broken the Internet? Practically every page I try to visit now demands a CAPTCHA. Breaks pretty much everything. Is CloudFlare trying to convince us to give up on HTTPS and go back to HTTP?

    Well, I might be interested in your new privacy/security related podcast, but if it's behind #cloudflare then forget it. The irony is that cloudflare is a type of MiTM attack.
