    @krypton Nur der Hinweis: Die EFF hat selbst noch genug Problemstellungen. Wenn man sich allein Artikel aus ihren Kreisen anschaut: Es lohnt sich einfach nicht um #Datenschutz und #Sicherheit auf Plattformen wie #YouTube, #Facebook und #Twitter zu werben. Diese haben es zu einem Geschäftsmodell erklärt und betreiben das illustre Spiel schon seit Anbeginn. Seltsam, dass man sich jetzt genau darum aufregt. Nur weil derlei zugenommen hat? Soll mitnichten heißen, dass ich es nicht gut finde wenn die EFF für mehr Privatsphäre plädiert, aber ich kaufe so manchem Mitglied das einfach nicht mehr ab, wenn dann doch wieder nur darüber gemeckert und man #Facebook defakto gar nicht verlassen will.

    @z428 Of course that's a point, but I would not speak about "customers" just "participants". And that's an individual decision to participate or not. Those networks like #GNUsocial or #Mastodon don't play any kind of a role because there is no further plan to copy known commercializing plans. It's just about connecting each other and that's far more "social" than known things are. In fact the "fight" for central platforms being independent like the EFF is doing in some ways is lost. #YouTube, #Twitter and #Facebook won't be independent and criticize the hashtag #deletefacebook is not the best way. Because there seem to be no thought to be done what's come afterwards, just keeping the "status quo" working. @norbert

    @norbert Interessanter Artikel. Danke dir, Norbert! Aber dennoch bleibt ein Fragezeichen über meinem Kopf: Wird das Buch von Katharina Nocun dann nicht über #Amazon erhältlich sein? Vielleicht dann eher #Terrashop oder / und kleinere Anbieter? Ich vermute einfach einmal das dem nicht der Fall sein wird.

    Und genau damit, mit genau dieser Zwiespältigkeit, zerstören "wir" mehr als das belehrt / gelehrt wird. Letztendlich liest sich das Jemand durch und zuckt mit den Schultern: Was sollte #Amazon denn schon weiter mit den Daten machen? Abgesehen davon wird das Buch von der Autorin doch ehr dort erhältlich sein. Abhängigkeitsverhältnis und Herrschaftsverhältnis.

    Oder gibt es vielleicht auch ein DRM-freies ebook zum Download auf der Blogseite als Angebot? ;-) Wäre nochmals ein weiteres Thema, bei welchem so mancher Netzaktivist / so manche Netzaktivistin auf die Nase gefallen ist. Beispielsweise Frau Julia Schramm? Erst fordert sie die Befreiung von "geistigem Eigentum" und als dann ihr Buch doch als ebook frei für Jeden hochgeladen wurde, ging das Theater los. Was "wir" wohl brauchen sind nicht nur Warnungen sondern auch absolut stringentes, kohärentes, in sich verständliches Verhalten! Keine Doppelstandards, wie eine Frau Nocun, die #Diaspora nebenbei verwendet, und dann doch auf #Facebook und #Twitter aktiv bleibt. Ganz zu schweigen davon, dass ich sie hier jemals beim Mikroblogging gesehen hätte.

    Na das ist doch herzlich: Ich schaue kurz bei GOG.com vorbei und werde sogleich von mehr als nur schlechten Neuigkeiten empfangen. Offensichtlich hat man sich dort ebenso dazu entschlossen mit #Facebook zu kooperieren und einen übergreifende Anmeldemöglichkeit einzubetten.

    Damit aber nicht genug kopiert man dann auch noch #Steam und bietet sog. Nutzerprofile an, die dann von außen betrachtet werden können. Nach aktuellem Stand nur mit weitergehender Anmeldung, aber mir reicht das Ganze schon vollends. Gut, dass ich mein Konto vor längerer Zeit bereits habe löschen lassen. Schade, die Plattform unter dem Namen "Good Old Games" war einst eine wirklich schöne Angelegenheit und mit der aufkommenden Unterstützung von #Linux auch eine gute Anlaufstelle für Spieler unter dem System, die gerne DRM-freie Software installieren und nutzen. Dürfte nicht mehr lange dauern und das Ganze ist auch mehr als nur eine schlechte Kopie bekannter Plattformen. Und wie immer: Alles zum vermeintlich Besten der Kundschaft! #Fuck-Off-GOG

    @paulfree14 @hikerus @bjoern @digitalcourage @z428 @norbert Sehe ich genauso wie Paul: Unabhängigkeit und Freidenker sind mir lieber als zunächst einmal noch eine Diskussion mit einem wie auch immer gearteten Tester zu führen. Grundsätzlich habe ich auch da erst einmal keine Einwände. Dennoch ermüden dann die steten Vergleiche wie "Bei X ist es aber besser, WEIL" und "Y macht aber MEHR".

    Kontexte gilt es zu erkennen und dann zu prüfen, ob man selbst mit genau diesem arbeiten kann. Da gilt es auch eigene Standpunkte auf den Prüfstand zu stellen, warum man beispielsweise #Twitter und #Facebook nutzt. Wie heißt es so schön? Irgendwann blickt der "Abgrund" auch in dich hinein, wenn du nur lange genug in ihn blickst. Von dem Modell die "Botschaft" andernorts zu überbringen, halte ich so rein gar nichts. Denn der Wunsch zur Veränderung muss aus dem Individuum selbst heraus entstehen. Wenn man nur bei #Twitter, #Facebook, #YouTube und Co. agiert macht man es sich selbst zu einfach!
