    Friendica Dev Team update

    I would like to congratulate and welcome @Philipp Holzer to the #Friendica Core Development Team!

    Philip has single-handedly sparked the much needed unit testing project on the Friendica codebase. Those unit tests run on every GitHub pull request by a Travis CI hook and have already been catching quite a number of bugs before they made it to the develop branch. At the moment these tests are mostly covering the API used by mobile apps, but the long-term goal is to be able to cover the whole codebase.

    Philip has also been creating the official Friendica Docker image https://github.com/friendica/docker for easier deployment and is dutifully maintaining it with each new Friendica release.

    Since he made himself indispensable to the project over the last several months, we had no other choice than add him to the Friendica Core Development Team.

    Here's to a well-deserved promotion and to a lasting impact on the Friendica project!

    A somewhat older (2016) but still interesting article about the history of #Hubzilla. Also contains a biography of Mike Macgirvin the developer that started #Friendica, Hubzilla and #Osada. It's interesting to learn that Mike launched Mistpark, the predecessor of Friendica, before #Diaspora*.

    Dies alles ist von Anfang September bis heute geschehen. D.h. pro Tag haben wir ein Issue bearbeitet und 2-3 Pull Requests erstellt. Ich finde das super! Vielen Dank an alle Beteiligten, egal ob ihr programmiert, getestet oder "einfach nur" eure Wünsche geäußert habt!

    Hm. Das habe ich mir dann ein wenig anders vorgestellt. Ich habe aus f-droid die App #friendiqa installiert. Im Grunde zeigt das Ding die wichtigsten Sachen an, aber die Möglichkeiten Einstellungen vorzunehmen sieht mir extrem schlicht aus. So schreibt das Teil permanent mit einer kranken Klein-/Grosschrift Wechsele und ich kann das NIRGENDS ändern.

    Gibt es hier Menschen die einen Tipp für mich haben?

    I have in mind to deal with my #Diaspora* and #Twitter friends via Friendica, but want to have Mastodon as my main account.

    (Because #Mastalab app by @tom79 is the best app ever! Or maybe Tom has an idea to add Friendica accounts as well to Mastalab?)
