.@Blender's videos on #YouTube have now come back, but they are also being told by Google/YT that they HAVE to monetise them. #Blender are considering refusing, which presumably would mean the videos being taken down again:

Whatever they once stood for, #Google's aim now is exploiting their users' content for maximum profit.

Schön und gut: #Uploadfilter sind definitiv eine durchweg schlechte Idee. Allerdings stelle ich mir weiterhin die Frage: Was wollt ihr denn überhaupt reformieren? #YouTube, #Google, #Facebook, #Twitter, #Instagram, #Pinterest und viele Andere sind doch gar nicht in einer wie auch immer deklarierten öffentlichen Hand.

Ihr möchtet #Uploadfilter verhindern? Gut, schafft endlich einen #Gegenpol und nutzt die dezentralisierten Plattformen. Weitet deren Verbreitung aus und definiert einen eigenen Paradigmenwechsel. Schon jetzt unterwerft ihr euch doch den Regularien von Dritten, sei das eine Regierung oder schlichtweg ein Unternehmen. Unbeachtet davon natürlich die absoluten Grundregeln des Miteinanders. Aber verändert doch bitte nicht die zentralisierten Stellen.

Etwas bereits vorweg als irreparabel Deklariertes kann man nicht dadurch "erhalten". Im Gegenteil: Das ist eine Verschlimmbesserung. Schafft Alternativen und fordert für genau diese, dass es KEINE #Uploadfilter gibt. Der Rest kann nicht reformiert werden, da all die Genannten bereits ein mehr als nur fragwürdiges Geschäftsmodell mit kapitalistischen Interessen darauf aufgebaut haben. #Stop-Playing-Bullshit

Eine kleine Herleitung kausaler Zusammenhänge gefällig? Auch in den dezentralen Netzwerken scheint Stringenz nicht so sehr eine Massenwirkung als eher individuelle Eigenschaft zu sein. Also faktisch wie immer!

Das Problem ist schlicht und einfach: Es wird immer wieder gerne darüber geschrieben wie schlecht doch #Facebook und Andere wie #Google sind. Wenn man dann aber auf bestimmte Blogs so mancher Teilnehmer schaut sind dort Anbindungen wie auch externe Quellen von genau diesen Unternehmen zu finden. Ebenso wie ewige Debatten und Diskussionen, ohne Konsequenzen oder Schlussfolgerungen. Außer vielleicht sich selbst mehr zurückziehen zu wollen.

Insgesamt ist es ja schön, dass man Marx oder Engels gelesen hat und in der Theorie darüber debattiert. Ändert man aber deswegen irgendetwas, wenn die EU gerade dabei ist zu zerfallen und Menschen dem Nationalismus zujubeln? Wenn offenkundiger Faschismus demnächst wieder durch die Straßen zieht und Andersdenkende gejagt werden? Bleibt mal abzuwarten, was dann unternommen wird von so manchen selbsterklärten Rebellen und Kommunisten beispielsweise auf #Diaspora. Oder aber ist man dann nur "links" gewesen, weil man das so gut gefunden hat? In Wahrheit ist man dann aber anders unterwegs? In der Anonymität kann man sich natürlich wunderbar mit diversen Eigenschaften und Bekundungen schmücken, die Realität sieht dann aber nochmals anders aus. #Stop-Playing-Bullshit

Escaping Google's gravity well: personal to-do list

I can't find who shared the Google alternatives page of RestorePrivacy.com https://restoreprivacy.com/google-alternatives/ with me but this is the path I intend to take forward.

I already:
- deleted my Analytics and AdWords accounts.
- switched to https://www.qwant.com for personal search.
- replaced Chrome with https://vivaldi.com based on Chromium without the Google wrapper.
- set up a personal https://nextcloud.com/ instance.
I still have to:
- Move my documents to NextCloud although the web editing tools are lacking.
- Open an email/calendar account with a different provider (ProtonMail, MailFence?).
- Delete my Google account entirely.

@majestyx Es verwässert sich zusehends: Mir wäre es lieber wenn sich freie Software auch defakto wirklich weiterhin abhebt und tatsächlich auch Idealen folgt. Wenn ich beispielsweise lese, dass mit #Pixelfed eine Alternative zu #Instagram entwickelt wird und diese aber wiederum "Recaptcha" von #Google einbindet ist dies das genaue Gegenteil davon.

Das passt natürlich: Normalisieren wir doch einfach weiter "Beleidigungen", "Herabsetzungen", "Entwürdigungen" und rüsten die Gesellschaft noch weiter verbal auf. Dann ist das was mir und Anderen teils entgegnet wird ja schlichte Normalität: Als Diabetiker ist man dann ein "dämlicher Krüppel, abhängig von der Pharma-Industrie und ohne diese schlicht und schnell tot, natürliche Auslese"! @kame #Replicant und auf einem anderen Gerät #LineageOS ohne #Google. Klar soweit, allerdings kenne ich auch die Gegenseite. Mobilgeräte ohne Möglichkeit der Installation eines anderen Systems! Erst gestern habe ich ein Solches in der Hand gehalten und da ist es schon traurig, wenn man auf Fehlerseiten und fehlerhafte Anwendungen des Herstellers trifft, weil der "Support" nicht mehr gegeben ist. Daher auch der Hinweis auf die geplante Obsoleszenz.
