    As someone explained to me earlier today, #twitter is likely lying and some rogue employee (at best) if not an intruder/cracker (worse/worst case) harvested all the passwords (in plain text). Don't believe their damage-controlling PR. They're f*ed. Clues in their action/response.

    Both #Twitter and #Github have reported storing passwords in plaintext over the last two days. I wanted to alleviate any concerns - WE DO NOT STORE PASSWORDS IN PLAINTEXT.

    Sure, I could just be saying that. So to help prove this to you guys, here is my user account as it appears in the backend database. I have redacted my personal email and half the hash, because rainbow tables, yo.

    Wow. #twitter voided my access tokens on other machines (I use 3 in tandem), so it must be pretty serious. Password changes don't necessitate kicking one out of another active session with a cookie.I bet they found out the 'bug' AFTER they got cracked. Damage control now.

    I think #twitter basically got cracked and it's definitely underplaying the severity of the issue (as if common). If it was merely a storage-level 'oops', it would not ask people to immediately change passwords and review 'app' access with such high level of urgency.

    Direkte Kopie von der Plattform #Twitter und auf die Rückfrage, ob der Nutzer einfach nur sich in seinem vermeintlichen Recht Andere diskriminieren zu können bzw. zu wollen eingeschränkt fühlt, kommt nur die Mahnung diese Unterstellung umgehend zu lassen. Treffer und versenkt möchte ich meinen: Defakto erinnert uns die "Politische Korrektheit" nur daran, dass es Grenzen des Sagbaren gibt und wir diese bitte auch einhalten wenn wir Rechte, Würde und Freiheit Anderer respektieren wollen. #Würgreflexe

    Das ist doch toll: Die re:publica 2018 findet dieser Tage statt und wenn die Riege der Vortragenden so durchschaut (https://18.re-publica.com/de/speakers) fällt sehr häufig die Begrifflichkeit "Aktivist / Aktivistin".

    Wird denn aber auch kritisch beleuchtet wie sehr #Datenschutz, #Sicherheit und #Freiheitsrechte immer weiter ausgehöhlt worden sind? Löblich: Eine Frau Katharina Nocun redete schon mehrfach über die Nutzung dezentraler Systeme. Nur schaut auf ihren Blog (http://kattascha.de/) ist dort wenig zu sehen von #Diaspora, #Friendica, #Hubzilla, #GNUsocial, #Mastodon, #Libertree, #MediaGoblin, #Pleroma und Anderen. Nein dort werden deutlichst nur #Facebook, #Twitter und #Instagram als Interaktionsmöglichkeiten angeboten.

    Und wieso zelebriert man das Ganze weiter, von Jahr zu Jahr? Netzpolitik.org in allen Ehren, aber wäre es nicht auch dort im Interesse die dezentralen Systeme nach vorne zu bringen? Schaut man sich dann einzelne Artikel mit den Kontaktinformationen der jeweiligen Autoren an: Wiederum das gleiche Bild wie auch bei Frau Nocun. Was möchte man da besprechen? Die "digitale Gesellschaft"? So einfach wie simpel: Ihr macht es euch zu einfach und wer nicht will, der hat auch schon. Letztendlich lebt man da sorgenfrei mit dem Credo "Wasser predigen, aber Wein saufen!" schlicht wie einfach weiter. Und genau deswegen ist das auch nur eine Veranstaltung mit großteils nur Lippenbekenntnissen. Letztendlich nochmals die Fragestellung: Wird beleuchtet wie dezentral die "digitale Gesellschaft" sein müsste, um überhaupt Schritt halten zu können und sich selbst auch verteidigen zu können, wehrhaft demokratisch zu sein? Einfache Antwort: Leider NEIN! #republica-2018 #Gedanken #Meinung
