#pkgconf 1.6.2 is out the door!

Just some minor fixes (Windows build fixed, man page fixes), and the previously discussed pkgconf-lite
variant. Nothing else of interest.

ha ha ha https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/issues/6120 fuck my life
okay upon examination of the git
testsuite, it appears that changing the default will not break any tests. (and in fact make test
passed just fine on my machine)
@fluffy i don’t. git
does. i want to fix git
so it stops deadnaming me.
quietly screaming as i realize why git log
is broken in this way: the testsuite depends on it being broken in this way
you can do that with .mailmap
. it turns out it’s git log
that is broken and does not respect .mailmap
by default like the other tools.
in the meantime between now and myself submitting a patch to fix this default, you can do git config --global log.mailmap true
as workaround.
WTF: git shortlog
respects .mailmap
by default, but git log
requires git log --use-mailmap
or changing a config setting. why the fuck?
