Well, I'm being lazy, so I'm probably not gonna copy the whole thing here, but I posted about it on a forum, if you want to binge the archives. XD

@hypolite Hmm, gotcha. What if the weapons are all made by a single person, who can't necessarily be replaced when they die? Say, you've got a dude who can make these awesome bows that shoot flaming arrows really far, but once they die, they can't make any more. And theres always the potential for your enemies to get their own dude who can make awesome weapons, and then things reverse? :/

I want this thing, but interactive. So I can control the speed, zoom in, have events show up on the map, maybe even have people show up on the map.. Be amazing. Not that it isn;t cool as it is, but I'm greedy, so. XD

@Azure @Irick Personally, I'd say objective truth is a lot like the speed of light. You can't reach it, but you can approach it, and that's usually enough to get you where your going. :p

@Irick @Azure Well, which one is better in any given circumstance, and how we tell. I definitely don't think either is complete on their own. Probably not both together, for that matter. :/

@Azure It comes down to tribalism, in large part. But of course, sufficiently entrenched tribalism makes is effectively conflict.:/

@Azure Mmm, I'm willing to count that as a mistake - as long as it seems reasonable that they might be convinced by mistake theory methods. After that, it's time to fall back to conflict theory. :/

@Azure Eh, I'd argue it's more common than that. Most of the culture wars are conflict based, for example. You can argue that everyone has the well being of society at heart, but in practice that still works out to conflict. Same with many economic or other details - we've had more than enough evidence for climate change. It's a conflict now, not a mistake. All it all, I'd say politics come down to 65% conflict and only 35% mistake. :/

@Azure I think its actually a pretty accurate way to view many things? I mean, politics often does come down to groups with different goals trying to have their way. Sure, you can argue that in the end everyone just wants to be happy and they only disagree on implementation, but when that implementation happens to include things like slavery, conflict theory is generally a bett3r way of viewing things. :/

@ajibidda Hmm. Does webgl work for you? It might be that the code is failing to make use of your graphics card for some reason. :/

@thegibson @natecull I guess? I guess what I meant to say is "I'm not sure I understand what these principles mean. Please show me how they end, so I can see how they function." :/

@ajibidda The idea is to revolutionize the way we talk on-line. I want to make it a lot easier for large numbers of people to discuss complicated topics and reach meaningful conclusions. Like, the entire population of the world discussing some extremely thorny issue.

Now, obviously that's gonna take a while, and I've barely gotten starting implementing the features we'll need, but I think it's a good start. XD

@ajibidda Hmm? No, it only loads the graph once, and then changes the display accordingly. Still a little laggy cause it's written in JS, of course. Is it behaving all right for you? Or is it unusable? :/

And don;t be afraid to comment. I'd love feedback. Or even better, if you'd help me actually use the thing and see what it looks like in practice. XD

@thegibson @natecull The parallel I'd draw is a decent functioning immune system. If it's too relaxed you get an infection and die. But if it's too vigilant, you get autoimmune disease and also die. :/
