Trump in a fight with Bannon. Reality TV is nothing compared to American politics.

Sounds like the old joke "What do you call the Intel Inside sticker? - The warning label." is modern again.

(In case anyone's wondering why I'm going through all the hassle of powershell on Linux. I'm trying to use Save-Module to look at the source of a powershell package that might be interesting for automating Jenkins and I don't want to switch to Windows to do so because I need to let apt upgrade run for a while. Yeah, I'm weird.)

@camoceltic Nope. This is on Debian. My guess is powershell core doesn't run quite well on Mono (never mind that Xamarin was bought my MS itself long ago). I'm installing dotnet core now, suspect it will probably run better with that.

Hmm, the powershell on Linux beta is truly good old MS quality. It crashes on every use.

A powershell script which contains C# code which calls into C functions in a windows DLL to move a window. On one hand it's cool that you can get that low level in a single script. On the other hand: ew.

@bob @purplehippo I doubt he would. A legal battle typically involves talking to an attorney in the field where you're going to wage battle and attorneys typically are good at recognizing battles that cannot be won. This sounds more like huffing and puffing and hoping the piggies will get scared and run away.

@purplehippo Well assuming the allegations are correct and Eugen was seriously trying to use Trademark and AGPL that would be pretty hilarious. I took a quick look at counter.social and they don't seem to disrespect the AGPL and they don't claim to be Mastodon but a node that runs software based on Mastodon. That's the kind of non-confusing use that Trademark laws allow as far as I know. So it wouldn't surprise me at all if Eugen tried to pull that trick and subsequently found out he has no leg to stand on.

@katiekats In this case it was made even worse because you only got 3 active abilities per character so even without silencing it made that part pretty annoying.

Always nice when a game goes "oh, you can only bring your main character into that area" and then you go in with a mage character because that's how you specced the entire game when you had a party around you and _then_ the game throws enemies at you that immediately silence you.

`try { ... } catch (Exception ex) when (LogException(ex)) { }` with LogException() always returning false. I'm torn whether this is a nice trick to process an exception without manual rethrowing or a horrible hack.

@n0admin Yup. Many apps in the enterprise are going single page application (often angular) so MS gotta chase their cash cows.
