@marsxyz @thatbrickster @lain theoretically your computer could be able to find content by slowly comparing the change in hash from one node to the next to a key that you are using as an address and as the hashes unravel to become more similar to your key youd know you are traversing the graph in the right direction and all the nodes have to store is a hash or two (that's just my own theoretical implementation)(ipfs has some good docs on how they do it I can't quite remember how to works)

@lain @thatbrickster @marsxyz so a MerkleDAG is a graph where all endpoints contain valid data such as a file to be shared or a script to be run on a webpage elsewhere, and as you move away from the endpoint nodes your file gets hashed with nearby content depending on the direction it branches off in

@marsxyz @thatbrickster @lain so a Merkel tree is a tree where data is in the leaf nodes and all the internal nodes keep a cummulativr has all the way up to the root, a DAG is a directed acyclic graph which is like a tree but a child node can have more then one parent node

@marsxyz @thatbrickster @lain true, I just distrust Bitcoin based solutions, I also find blockchain to be very overengineered, I think that a DHT or a MerkleDAG are better solutions (ipfs uses a MerkleDAG)
