@dgold It's weird right? As an American, I even think it's weird that everything from the 50s is xmas cannon and nothing else. And, no I haven't heard of those songs. Though, I've moved to Canada to correct some of these things.
(also moved to my own instance and sent you a follow request from it, @sikkdays )
@jjg I'm debating switching to Hugo. I really like how @dgold has webmention wired into his site. Actually, I like the general design of his site all together.
By the way, I enjoy chatting with you and wanted to let you know I'm moving to my own instance. You can follow me at @sikkdays
Our chairs are not made of fabric, but an alien skin that absorbs hair, lint, thread, fabric, and absolutely everything. In 5 years the chairs will have too much mass to leave out the door. In 20 years nothing but the chairs will remain in the entire volume of the condo. #cleaningSucks
@kai Damn it. Just buy the iPhoneX an iPad Pro, wear your H & M uniform, eat a big Mac, wash it down with a Coca-Cola and watch, So You Think You Can Be A Good American with everyone else. Submit, obey, enjoy. Be a good nationalist consumer and stop being counter culture. Are you a terrorist? Do you hate the troops? Take your ambien, don't make waves.
Mastodon is like elementary school in that you basically run into someone on the playground, find out that you both like [thing] and then are immediately friends.
@jgmac1106@KevinMarks@chrisaldrich@jalcine I want to start a new project, but I want it to be #indieweb friendly from the beginning. I don't want to use Wordpress as I don't like the data the plugins collect on my readers. I would like something that lets me focus on the content, not the site itself. Currently, I'm using Grav on a site, but it's not that #indieweb friendly. What's a good platform to start on that I could find support for? Hugo?
This has never really happened to me, but I think I'm really just turned off by #Pleroma because of the name.
It sounds so superficial. I was reading a description recently and it all sounds good. Yet, there's something off-putting about telling my friends to check out Pleroma.
What's in a name? iPad is possibly the worst name ever in the history of products, but those jokes are gone because it is in the cultural vernacular now.
