@PhoneBoy that said, they go to a lot of trouble to offshore everything, but 90% of the time it's the locals that fix it as they know all the systems. All the people in the call centres in the Philippines and India are all compartmentalised and don't have access to all they need to fix the issue. I have had to go through 5 departments over a 2 hour phone call to fix a couple of issues on a bill that could have been dealt with in just 20 mins
Bastard's screwed up orders, failed to put the land line numbers in the order and placed temporary disconnect codes on the line leaving the none of the diversions working and a "number disconnected" message on the lines.
@YoVinnie I was talking last night, with the other Guitarist from the band I just left and instead listened to Rory Gallagher's Tattoo before falling asleep
Rare Bird is on my old iPhone 3.5 I'll listen today whilst pushing electrons around chunks of silicon before they find their way to ground.....where they belong.
@YoVinnie I've succeeded as a guitarist. Some people rate me, where I know I'm a fraud. It's funny when I've got a compliment on my playing, and I ask to have a little go on the bass, then tear it up.
That's one thing I will miss in the new band is I'm not playing bass with the drummer. He is so much fun to play against.
That said, the band is called Real Red Rhythm and the sort of stuff we play, I could get away with writing a thing for two bass guitars.
@YoVinnie same here. No news, little social media. Though I did do some Quora for shits and giggles
I've got to work on my singing now. That's going to be the hard part. There's no frets, or keys. No adjustments you can make with a few knobs. It's all down to you and you alone. Cranking out ditties for NA is one thing, cranking out balls out rock is a completely different challenge, and one I have little experience in. But it's my next challenge, passing myself off as a vocalist.
