I was going to try it in an open mic stand up. See how it goes down, but I have much more important things to do.

The floors are Kauri pine. At $12 - $25 linear meter, they are damned expensive to replace. One of the builders ripped up and split a heap when they were prepping for the plumbing. Didn't know what he was dealing with. A little over a grands worth.

We got an apology. It was genuine. That's all. :-/

I'm about to do my own brickwork. I can pull stuff down easy enough. The mortar is quite soft. The challenge is going to be putting it up nice and straight.

We are opening up the back of the house a bit more. Putting in French doors and louvre Windows above, so I have a new lintel and a Half a dozen courses of bricks to lay, inside and out

We're fixing up our early 1900s corner shop / house. I've gone from 0 to a competent Gyprock (drywall) and whiteset plaster dude in the last 12 months.

Entering week two of the bathroom remodel. Last week the contractor got everything plumbed, wired, drywalled. This week sees tile, shower install, and painting. Will need to wait a couple weeks for the shower doors to be fabricated and delivered.

It's awesome to see the house come along, but now that I work from home the disruption is significant. Still worth it.
