@gemlog When we vacation the other two would flip through the channels. I became cranky when they'd do this at 9:30 pm unless there was something good on TCM. I've reached the point where everything seems formulaic: only the clothes, voices and faces change delivering the same pabulum.

@gemlog I hadn't enrolled for cable or satellite either. Last time I had cable was when I was an apartment dweller, came with the rent. I get 500 Internal Server Errors when I try to follow someone on a remote instance. Do some instances refuse remote follows? Is this an individual's setting?

Firefox 57 users shopping online for holiday gifts finding how sluggish and barely adequate some publicly traded stores' cart applications are?

Still beats finding parking, jostling other shoppers, and choosing a fat paperback to read while waiting in a long line for checkout.

@SlowRain @afterconnery I find that the meat and fish are priced in 100g units in the province of British Columbia. Outside of Canada for a while I bought fish ONLY from a monger who had worked in Switzerland because he understood grams/ounces conversion.
