I'm catching up with long-postponed replies.

For those who use email addresses with common names that the less nimble-figured have entered in error into a retailer's or broker's #database: have you ever #phished to find out who's using your name? Has the database owner ever admitted that a script removes nonalphabetic from an email address before insertion? Do they dawdle when you tell them your unsubscribe command must be executed immediately, because you never registered your address with them?

There's no pleasing everyone. I can toot once every two-three weeks, about innocuous subjects, people come and go. I toot about something important, like pass along advice of atypical reporting method to moderators at this high-population instance, and people unfollow; even my friends, so maybe this is a cue to limit my #Mastodon even more.

#amwatching #BBC's 2018 _The Woman in White_ some of this may be my mood and outlook (unmentionable here) but I do not like it. I understand the economy of characters adapting from a long novel and numerous characters' accounts, the quick pace owing to time. This miniseries adaptation is not for readers of the book.
