Ahhh, a sunny day, an open road and a motorcycle. Bliss!
What's with the two spare tyres?

Chris Grayling has an inverse Midas touch.
Everything he touches turns to unmentionable brown stuff.
I was looking through a digital "contact sheet" which contained the daisy photos. I was struck by how similar they looked to photos I had of fried eggs, which were in the same folder.
Maybe that's just me.
Everyone will know this one.
Common Daisy - Eòinean - Bellis Perennis
Depending on your viewpoint these will either be the flower of happy childhood memories or an invasive weed ruining your carefullly cultivated green lawn. I'm 100% in the former camp.
It has been postulated that the word "daisy" comes from "day's eye" because the flower (in common with many others) closes overnight, before opening again in the morning.
@gemlog
Ah, indeed, but do the purple ones taste any different? There was a craze for purple carrots a few years ago. I never bought any, so I don't know if they are different. They would certainly look different on your plate.

* CLI interface too (cht.sh)
* Use directly from code editors
Happy #Woofday Wednesday
What do hairy dogs do on a hot day?
#Neachdainn cools his paws whenever he finds a nice pool of water (even if it is completely muddy).
"Ahh, that's better."
There is a fleeting glimpse of the pub/restaurant Am Politician in the video.
So named as Eriskay is the island that the SS Politician ran aground on in 1941, with its precious cargo of whisky. This real event led to the fictionalised account in the famous book and film Whisky Galore (1949). The book is a great read and the film is very entertaining
A must watch.
The world's most unique football club (& pitch), some great scenery, and ponies.

Theirs. No, they have definitely departed.
Plus, I would expect some might have followed me from their new location. That hasn't happened.
Battle of Culloden
April 16th 1746
The last battle of the Jacobite rising and on the British isles. The forces of Prince Charles were defeated by those of the Duke of Cumberland (Butcher Cumberland).
The defeat not only ended the aspirations of the Stuart dynasty, but also led to the attempted destruction of Highland culture, the clan system and the Gaelic language.

It might be less than double the cost, but I'm not sure about the artistic merit. Not only would the scriptwriting have to be equally good, but the delivery would need to be up to the same standard in both languages. Not so easy to do in your non-native tongue.
@vfrmedia
Always likely peoples lives change, that they no longer have the same needs. However, is the take-up and fall-off for the #Fediverse no different from Birdsite, FB and the like?
If the "churn" is no different to that on the silos then I think we are kidding ourselves that the Fediverse is completely different. I'm not claiming my casual observations are significant.
@orbifx
I quite like "witty statements". 😃
One of the reasons I chose Mastodon rather than, say, Hubzilla, Friendica or diaspora was the acceptability of short status updates. If I wanted to write something in long-form text, I'll write a blog post. Absolutely, nothing wrong with these aforementioned apps; I determined that Mastodon was a better fit for my needs. Pleroma or Misskey might also have fitted the bill.
