@strypey No, it wasn't possible to have social rents and replace those houses being sold at huge discounts. Also, there is a difference between the housing stock capital and the income from rents.
The right-to-buy was abolished in Scotland, in 2016, and guess what? The number of social houses for rent has mushroomed since 2016.
@laraby My photo editing is separate from my photo processing for the Blog/Fediverse. The photos going to B/F are a sub-set, are much smaller and get a watermark.
I note that there are also plugins for Lightroom for exporting to social media. Perhaps one of those could be modified for the Fediverse.
@laraby I have a script that I use with my file manager (Thunar), which has the convenience of right clicking the selected file and it then does the needed conversion.
I had a look around Github and there are similar tools for other file managers. Which FM do you use?
@paulgatling Forgot... There aren't any Devuan quirks, it just works like old-style Debian with SysV init. If you run Devuan (or any non-systemd distro) some applications won't be available as they depend on systemd, notably most Gnome stuff. Wouldn't bother me as I use Xfce.
@paulgatling I made a couple of changes to the dist provided SysV init scripts, nothing major. Now I think about it, I'm not sure where they came from, I'd need to check.
I actually use Runit, as well. I find it works well with my Python stuff and Gunicorn etc. For Runit I pretty much use one template and just modify to suit. Never had any trouble with it.
