I've recently migrated 10 production servers from Jessie -> ASCII -> Beowulf. It all went without a hitch. I did two reboots, one for changing the init system and the other because I upgraded the kernel (not required, but nice). Each migration took about 20 minutes.

I'll be moving all my other Debian servers to Devuan, in due course.

You have been busy! Is the kohlrabi easy to grow? That isn't something that is readily available, here in Scotland.

The gardens of "stately homes" are never big enough for exercising Neachdainn, but he enjoys sniffing around if other dogs have been about.

We went to Scone Palace recently, and it has huge gardens (and an arboretum) which he enjoyed. You don't get to see much inside the palace.

Would you say it is worth visiting?

I've done all the NTS properties. Always on the lookout for others, especially if they have extensive gardens (my four-legged companion prefers the gardens).

Variation across time, too. Four seasons in one day etc.

Did you go inside Elcho Castle?

23ยฐC when I was out earlier, significantly more than a "light breeze", though. I saw a butterfly doing about 30mph, backwards.

    Monsoon back again, to-morrow.

Probably the best known Pictish name still in use is Anglicised to Angus.

A quick web search returned this page which lists some female names:

No. Definitely NO. In common with most dogs Neachdainn hates being washed, in any manner.

Neachdainn is a Pictish name. There were several Pictish kings with that name, around 600AD, although we use the Gaelic spelling. The name is Anglicised to Nechtan, and is also the origin of the surname MacNaughton.

    Exactly.

I had a friend that had a 2CV. I have many fond memories of that particular car. Very basic by modern standards, but quite economical, and very easy to repair.

My favourite thing was the removable rear seat, which could be used for picnics. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

One spanner to rule them all, seems to be the exact antithesis of most product design to-day. Manufacturers go out of their way to use "funny" bolt and screw heads that most people won't possess. Presumably to force consumers to buy again or get them repaired professionally. If you do attempt to fix things yourself, you have to spend a fortune on specialist tools.

Unless I strongly disagree with the post, I'll leave the fave as is. I wouldn't worry about favouriting when someone is having a hard time. It is like acknowledging their pain.

Accidental boosting is a much bigger problem. By the time you realise your mistake, it is probably too late, most of your followers will have seen it. The perils of social media.

What to do when you go to favourite a post, and just as you're about click it the timeline moves, and you favourite the next one instead? I feel bad if I un-favourite something.

I didn't get your reference the first time, I did after you reminded me of our "put a kilt on it" discussion.

I just thought it worthwile explaining why I was illustrating my examples with the healthcare system in Scotland. That and the fact I'm not familiar with healthcare anywhere else.
