True, but many of these organisations complained about the previous policy, then welcomed the policy change, and finally built lots of new social housing, suggests otherwise.

Without discussing specific figures it is difficult to assess whether a rent-to-buy scheme could provide housing as cheaply as social rent housing. Adding the "buy" part would likely increase costs, which otherwise could be used to reduce rents.

Ah yes, NI is always considered a "special" situation. Otherwise, the (UK) Labour Party contest seats in the other UK countries. Welsh Labour & Scottish Labour don't exist, they are, in effect, brands:

It is an internationally recognised sampling technique called the "pub sample". Always considered as more important than any statistically weighted sample numbering in the thousands.

    Gee, that long.

To be fair, I don't watch party conferences any longer. I usually just see some video clips posted online. I know some people will say "what does it matter what song they sing", but these sort of things often betray the true intentions of political parties.

Actually, the screenshot was from a Norwegian weather forecast service. Although, I usually look at three forecasts and choose the one I like. 😃

Forecast has changed for to-day, my 8-8 window has gone.

What happened to The Red Flag?

I tried it once where the content of my Desktop showed through the terminal window. It was useless, because I have icons with descriptions on my Desktop, and they mingled with the terminal text. 🙄

I've always liked the idea of semi-transparent terminal windows, but in practice I find they distract me from the text.

Your background photo does look suitably autumnal.

So, PM Boris Johnson is in serious trouble regarding the unlawful prorogation of parliament.

Suddenly, *someone* leaks the legal advice from Geoffrey Cox (Attorney General for England & Wales) that the prorogation was legal.

It appears Mr Cox has been thrown under one of the PM's busses.
