@Economic_Hitman I took a crap QA position at a big tech company right after graduating, quit in disgust and took my time finding a good place to learn from senior engineers. I was underpaid but when I left after 5 years I was operating at a much higher level. I've enjoyed learning about a bunch of different industries: news/politics, pets, trendy apps, healthtech, fintech. That's been kind of fun in it's own right.

@kcmmrl The response (I have Dimensional glasses), I think, is No and No. The gay wedding cake is required though because sexual orientation is a protected class, but political orientation is not.

But the hinge of course is that the cake baker refused based on the purpose of the cake, which could be construed as political, not the sexual orientation of the customer.

@Ademan my understanding is they took the band name from that song. The Wizard is probably one of my favorite bands. I serendipitously got to watch a Pentagram set with them.

@ScottALavender I have my own domain but I've had a grandfathered in Google domain account for it for years (I don't pay). Obviously I can just repoint this elsewhere, but dealing with moving it isn't something I really want to spend time on setting up.

@aven This is a point that is really starting to pick up steam. The kicker is that there has to be something high-profile enough to engage enough people to fund the legal battle against the tech lawyers.

As far as I'm concerned, let us take it to the mattresses, crowdfund Alex Jones lawsuits and bury 'em. I don't listen to the guy but I want these assholes to pay through the nose.

@GluedToTheScreen I think what they may really mean is there aren't enough "really popular podcasters" - I've run across a few African American podcasters generally talking to and about the black community but on un-PC topics, so they're not getting that Audible money.

I also co-hosted a podcast for a while with a friend of mine where he talked about his sister saying he wasn't "black enough" and I'm guessing that's not PC either and I still don't have my Audible check.

Today I discovered a guy who has a Youtube channel where he hunts pest birds and rodents. A lot of his videos are from 5-7 years ago and even back in 2012 he was running up against censorship of showing slo-mo shots as "gratuitous violence"

The censorship issues have been out there for a *long* time.
