Distros really shouldn't package and make available any software they aren't prepared to support. Since distros only really support software that's in their default install, if it's not installed by default, then they shouldn't package it.

Honestly I don't think these people get that we both understand and are fine with the fact that our posts, someday, will disappear

Nobody but them is expressing concerns over this, and instead of just downloading their own posts to keep backups, they've taken it upon themselves to "save us" from what they deem to be a "threat to the safety of our data"

(note: to be fair a lot of them seem to be more motivated by "well I can so why shouldn't I?" and not...any reasonable concern, but those people are what I call "dipshits" and i'm just going to ignore them for the purposes of this post)

As someone who was harassed via screenshotting I want to make something clear:

Screenshot dunking is when you take a screenshot of someones post for the direct purpose of mocking them and making them a spectacle

Screenshot dunking is NOT screenshotting bigoted assholes or bullies for evidence of their said harassment and using it to warn people that someone is bad

I have zero experience with native app dev but I'm considering learning how. Learning #vala and working with the dev tools on @elementary looks appealing and relatively beginner friendly.

I'm wondering what the approach is to create apps with these tools that integrate well into #ElementaryOS but also into other DEs like #Gnome as well? Is making apps cross DE about whether / how you use the Granite libs?

I don't have any frame of reference so I'm curious.
