I hate that google calls standard IMAP auth “less secure” while simultaneously being restrictive about who is allowed to use their OAuth login. They make life harder for our users and tell them there is something wrong with our security model when really the issue is bureaucracy

Screenshot dunking is two words, the second one is also important.

Dunking is "to best someone in spectacular fashion and/or in a way to humiliate them".

Posting screenshots of abusers, or keeping screenshots of abuse or misunderstandings as receipts is not dunking.

No people shouldn't screenshot dunk, but yes people should keep receipts and protect themselves from abusers with the use of screenshots.

It's not counterproductive to alert people to danger on the fediverse.
