in other words, a pox on both their houses.
elon for responding immaturely and taking the bait to begin with, and that guy for every time i missed the bus.

well the guy elon is railing on does happen to be largely responsible for the disaster that is the american philosophy to mass transit.
european mass transit was good well before this guy came along.
expert in transit he may be, and if that is the case, we need different experts running that show.
@weirdoslam @a_breakin_glass @plsburydoughboy
a major problem is that mass transit in most of america is crummy buses that are always late and thusly can't be depended on. people mostly don't use the existing infrastructure because of this, unless they absolutely have to.
would like to see better transit solutions, maybe with nicer interiors than plastic seats that are hard as a rock, and actual time SLAs.
such transit infrastructure would reduce congestion considerably.
@lain i guess that means we're boned
even the russian commercial launch company ILS has better graphics than Orbital
literally Orbital is the most ghetto of the entire industry from what I see.
they don't even build their own rockets, they are just buying and modifying random ICBMs they can buy
although ULA's stuff looks really silly: https://youtu.be/vvr_-_XsAY4?t=42m16s
trying to do some weird CNN look to it
also, ULA has better graphics and live video feeds from the rocket.
literally Orbital ATK is just ghetto. their whole business is ghetto too, recycling ICBMs built in the 1980s into rockets wtf
yeah, but even Arianespace/ESA have better graphics on theirs.
literally the Orbital stuff looks like it came from the 1980s...
things i wonder: why does Orbital ATK not have any cameras on their stuff while SpaceX does. instead they have this strange 3D rendering based on telemetry that can't actually show them what is going on...
@Johannab VPNs cost $250/mo extra now for the "enterprise" plan
i didn't say it was a good idea, but was just explaining that it's not really people in some board room going "welp, tea sucks, lets try bitcoin instead"
not exactly, a lot of these companies renaming to XYZ blockchain are a result of reverse IPOs to get around stock market regulations which would otherwise prevent their inclusion.
i have firsthand experience, so many seagate drives have fallen out of their arrays in the past few months.
turns out if you replace the PCB they work again for a while, so it's like planned failure or something.
@href i love those people, they complained all the time when i deprioritized them for CPU access
what happened ?
seriously, the security system company has one job: call the cops if somebody robs me while I'm not home. I don't want to have my lights and thermostat running through their security panel, I played watchdogs damnit!
why the *fuck* would I want to connect my security system to my thermostat???
yeah more insecure IoT crap, from the security system company. just what I needed!
