The whole "Obscured by Clouds" album is one of Pink Floyd's more underrated albums. While the entire album is fantastic, Childhood's End is the best song.

When I was in Copenhagen, the hotel I was at had a coffee shop that roasted its own coffee. I was there when they were roasting it. OMG, that was the best smell ever.

@Combaticus how much did your roaster cost? Considering how little actual ground coffee I consume, perhaps it will be fresher/better to roast my own.

Even though I am somewhat impatient about the process, it’s hard not to notice the changes going on with my body. Looks aside, I just feel different. Hard to describe.

I seem to be entering my traditional holiday funk just about on schedule.

@SwissSenna My wife’s parents were military, middle class, relatively straight, and married forever. Her home was stable.

My parents were divorced, alcohol and drug abusers, and living paycheck to paycheck for the most part. My situation was anything but stable, or healthy. It also didn’t help that I had all the social issues that come with Aspergers and a society that knew nothing about it back then.

So, yeah, very different backgrounds.

Listening to my wife and my brother in law and his wife talk about childhood makes me realize how different my childhood was. Either that or I’ve blocked so much of it from my memory that I simply can’t relate.

You could also argue whether the so-called Sky Pilot is actually piloting anything @YoVinnie. Lots of questions that we humans will debate ad-infinitum.

@SLRock I've always thought religion was bullshit, mostly because the thugs in charge can't resist the urge to twist it to their current agenda.

Whether or not there is a God and what shape God takes is an entirely different discussion.
