I was hoping to get 100% ground coverage before putting water in the tank, but 9 weeks in growth was starting to stall and some of the plant leaves were browning at the tips, so I went ahead and filled it up. Given the number of oxygen bubbles the monte carlo is producing, it should continue to grow in just fine. The matterfilter is working great as well. Nice flow, and it's completely silent.

I just watched Going Clear. I've always heard that cult leaders are charismatic, but in the clips they included, L. Ron Hubbard just seemed like kind of a creep. His demeanor seemed very artificial and off-putting. Maybe he put off some alien pheromone that got people to like him. David Miscavige, the current head of the cult seems like a much more magnetic person. Stilla huckster to be sure, but not gross in the way Hubbard was.

Here you can see the impact of the cleanup I did last night. The pace of these bogus accounts seems to be accelerating. There are an additional 630 newly created accounts right now that I did not delete out of an abundance of caution, else the change would be even more drastic.

#Podmins, I've included the scripts I've used to remediate fake accounts on our pod in the diaspora-scripts repo.

The first script, find-fakes.py will search the diaspora database for users that have no content and only a single log-in and write out the user ids to a file. You may specify --interval <days> to omit newly-created accounts.

The second script, purge-accounts.py will read in the list of user ids and either close (delete) or lock (disable) the accounts in bulk.
