I got the idea from a couple posts on Pinterest but this is the one I liked best. They’ve used it for story telling and I applied it more directly and simply :)
Finally finished work for the night. It’s 11:40 pm. I lie down and close my eyes.
20 minutes later toddler is suddenly standing by the bed staring at me. “I have to poop mommy” Um....ok.
3 hours later, after @thurloat and I have gone back and forth several times trying to get her to sleep, I’m finally crawling in to bed to catch a little snooze before she gets up for the day.
Not to mention I’m 34 wks pregnant lol today has been crappy @HerraBRE
I’m pretty sure bossiness is just in my daughter’s genetics 🤣 At 2.5 yrs she’s become pretty good at giving orders. I spend a lot of time explaining that other people have ideas too. Can’t blame it on playschool, I’m a stay at home parent. @HerraBRE
The best part of teaching my kid at home is that when she has questions which repeatedly come up I can rejig our entire lesson plan for the month to add a week to explore them. This month that means at least a week will be spent on plants. Maybe more depending on her interest level.
Introduced the algorithm game to Ezra this morning. She got the gist right away! I think it helps we read Ruth Spiro’s “Baby Loves Coding” quite often. Today she’s more focused on pronouncing algorithm than actually playing the game but I can see this being in our normal toy rotation for a long time. https://mastodon.club/media/ukCGo0JihTMXBhPpceM
