The notion that the market of people that can support you is divided entirely which currency you give is annoying. I hadn't noticed that before; I assumed that it worked differently. π

I suspect that #Liberapay is much more aligned with the notion of a "gift economy", and this is leading me to wonder about how much of my #economics thinking is truly applicable to it. π
(I've been toying with strategies of increasing Liberapay participation.)

I've acquired a sort of appreciation for #TiddlyWiki on #nodejs that I tend to not feel for technologies, an appreciation that is much closer to that of #intrinsic valuing rather than #extrinsic (what it does for me, output-determined). π³

@BryanLunduke We use @Liberapay at @Ubports, it's pretty good. Fees are a lot lower than on #Patreon, but it has a lot less users. The only thing i'm missing personally is the feed where you can interact with your supporters, and they don't park your donations, so you have to collect every month.

So my youngest daughter gave me a miniature rose for Christmas. She bought it early. It lived under her bed through several hot days. By Christmas morning it was all but a pot of dead twigs.
It's been my holiday project, to revive it with hard pruning, compost and worm juice.
And here it is, a week later, ablaze with life.
Grace and growth to all of us in 2018. Let's not underestimate the will to survive.

@arturovm The warmth would also allow the aromas in the beer to really come out, whereas mainstream cold consumption tends to suppress them (which helps stinky beers sell π).

@arturovm I'm not too sure, as I've only found descriptions of hot beers that have been mixed with other alcohols, spices, etc. But I think the maltier, darker beers should do.
The brewing method that I hope to use simply doesn't involve boiling the ingredients like mainstream brewing does, which supposedly allows for the proteins from the grain to remain intact (they're broken up in the boiling process), so I suspect that beers from this method should handle warmth better.
