#Ideas: #Art showing where attendees get to choose pieces, where to hang them, and what prices they will go for. I suspect that they might fetch a higher price than usual.
@Modern_Industrial@opendork Play around with being a Dunce's Advocate: try to offer alternate reasons for the same conclusion, rather than different conclusions (and/or reasons, as with Devil's Advocate)
Spent the last 30 minutes playing with the dog in the snow (it's almost 1 am here).
Agenda was: 1. Who can ROLL down the hill fastest 2. Fetching snowballs downhill & uphill 3. Hide & seek behind pine trees 4. Bury beneath the snow 5. Run until you are out of breath
I can barely catch my breath now, but damn that was fun and the doggo is ultra happy.
I'm feeling very fortunate & grateful today that my school, Lansing Community College, only made the local news yesterday. Very fortunate that we aren't talking about #LansingStrong today.
We were ordered to evacuate campus yesterday ~2:20pm because two people contacted police about what their "friend", another student, was planning to do after 3pm.
Police arrested the student at 3pm - with AR-15, dozens of magazines, boxes of ammo, and extra rifles.
@bthall So, perhaps with your background in a Philosophy major turned Economics major, you could provide this kind of holistic perspective to your approach of Economics.
@bthall Perhaps we could help OSM with a feature to show scenic highways on their map and offer a scenic routing option. I don't think there's much we can do to influence google, they're more interested in the reverse.
@artsyhonker@noelle This is an interesting point. We tend to focus upon the results of a process and the quality of it, but not appraise the parts of the process itself. I suspect that this may be because we are often exposed to only the final product, hiding the process, but valuing the process would likely be good; if my suspicion about the process not being visible is true, I wonder how that can be made visible. (Version control is an interesting step in that directin)
@arturovm Being conscientious is great, but having a partner that knows of your flaws and cares enough for you to help guide you away from them is important. Maybe indeed refrain from pursuing a relationship with them at this time, but let them know of your interest in them and, if you can, build the first whisperings of a relationship: honest discussions, especially of things besides the prospect of a relationship with them.
