@nico@freakboy3742 Yup! What technical skills would you say you have? I've helped them a bit by bringing to light that their documentation needed tweaking in some places, and I suspect that as I make apps for myself (as practice with #Python, which I'm still a beginner with) I'll be able to contribute by recording videos of working with the Beeware suite and keeping a public journal ("blog") of my experiences with it. [General community building and benefitting tasks.]
If you'd like to hear about fungi turf wars, growing mushrooms in non-lab conditions, and doom by super-resilient mushrooms, you're in luck! I've uploaded a video in which I discuss these things while showing you my mushroom grow kit's... growth! Enjoy: https://youtu.be/9OQ1E5bwMiU
@davehunt Hey dude, we can audio chat sometime soon via #Mumble! @lnxw48a1 setup a server of his own and seems to be OK with the idea of you and me using it (hopefully with him, too). π
Huh. The #freemium service that I use for #RSS (for free) is embedding ads when syncing with the service thru third-party apps. I'm kinda impressed. [The service is #Inoreader.]
The service is a bit too generic for me to feel compelled to pay for it, so I hope that my ad views and clicks may float their boats in the meantime. [This is a preview of my thought that tech funding, especially #openSource funding, can fail merely because a necessary degree of artfulness of the tech is lacking.]
@bthall@kai Mundane opportunity costs are a good place to start for intuitively grasping econ theory, so I imagine its second-nature by the time you're trained in it.
